A student member receives the Richard J. Schmeelk scholarship.

Student member at modelEAULeila Pieper is one of three recipients for the 2016-2017 Richard J. Schmeelk scholarship. Also a member of CentrEau, Leila is interested in modeling integrated urban water systems. Leila is the first non-French Canadian to initiating studies in the field of water engineering at Université Laval. Holder of numerous awards and scholarships, she was appointed High graduate of McGill University in Environmental Engineering in 2012. Leila Pieper has participated in a voluntary program of Engineers Without Borders.

Through this award, the Richard J. Schmeelk Foundation wishes to offer students a unique opportunity to expand their network across the country while continuing studies at the graduate level. Each year the Foundation awards $ 10,000 per quarter to its fellows. This amount is renewable up to $ 40,000.
