In this article to this open access review paper on covid19 wastewater-based epidemiology (WBE), modelEAU contributed with its experience in sampling design and pollutant fate modelling in sewer systems.

An overview is given of  knowledge gaps and research needs to make sure COVID-WBE can become operational as soon as possible to detect trends in sarscov2 infection prevalence in the population connected to a wastewater treatment plant and in this way support decision-making in the management of the covid19outbreak.
