Specialisation : Wastewater treatment

Master

E-mail : Jean-Michel.Perron.2@ulaval.ca
Département de génie civil et de génie des eaux - Pavillon Adrien-Pouliot - 1065, Médecine avenue

Research fields :

Jean-Michel begun is an academic background in mathematic before reorienting in water engineering in 2016. He obtains his bachelor degree in may 2020. His interest in mathematics and engineering led him to a master's degree in wastewater treatment modeling in partnership with modelEAU research chair.

Jean-Michel works on the modelling of headloss in biofiltration process. The improvement of headless prediction will be realise by describing the mechanisms that induce the initial fouling and the clogging of the substrate. This project is part of an overall goal to provide an operational tool that help to answer this question: how can we optimise washing sequence? This optimisation is realise by maximising the number of active biofilter during overload period.
