Nathalia graduated in Sanitary and Environmental Engineering at the Federal Institute of Espirito Santo (IFES), Brazil (2020). From 2017 to 2019, she worked in a local full-scale plant, pausing in 2018 to pursue an internship at modelEAU research group and work evaluating the sludge settling behaviour under different operational conditions. 

Motivated to continue working with modelEAU, Nathalia started her masters in Water Engineering at Université Laval. Her project is based on data quality analysis of a wastewater treatment system from Paris, and involves the development of mathematical tools for the optimization of existing models and automatic data calibration.
