Médiatrice was a Belgian student at ISIB (Engineering Institute of Brussels) when she joined the modelEAU team. To obtain her masters’ degree in science and industrial engineering, she joined the project primEAU for 4.5 months.
In combination with the project alEAU, she worked on chemically enhanced primary treatment (CEPT) at the Quebec WWTP in order to apply them to primEAU. Working on flocculants and coagulants, she was to establish a protocol for jar-tests with the addition of alum for the WWTP, a protocol with/without alum for the pilot, and finally a protocol for "green coagulants/flocculants" for the pilot. The goal was allowing modelling of wastewater’s quality and treatement.
