Dirk Muschalla received his PhD degree at Darmstadt University of Technology, Germany in 2006. From 2006 to 2010 he worked as postdoctoral researcher at Darmstadt University of Technology and Université Laval in Québec, Canada. In addition, he worked as adjunct professor at Graz University of Technology, Austria from 2007 to 2011. In the years 2011 and 2012 he was employed at itwh GmbH Hannover, Germany as senior technical development manager. In 2012, Dirk has been appointed as Professor for Urban Water Management and Head of the Institute of Urban Water Management and Landscape Water Engineering, Graz University of Technology, Austria.
During his stay at modelEAU, Dirk is working on sewer water quality models and integrated modelling of urban water systems and is giving seminars on different topics, e.g. urban hydrology and hydraulic modeling. Dirk is collaborating with members of modelEAU discussing about similar and complementary subjects Dirk’s research group and modelEAU are working on.
