"Wastewater Treatment and Climate Change: Mitigation and Adaptation through Real-time Control" is a project focusing on the interaction between wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) and climate change: extreme events have a great impact on WWTP, undermining the effluent quality; and certain wastewater treatment processes contribute to the production of greenhouse gases. The aim of this project was to propose a real-time strategy for adaptation to extreme events and to mitigate the greenhouse gases production of WWTP.
