Nicolas was studying at INSA Toulouse, an engineering school in France when he came to Université Laval. He is specialized in chemical and environment engineering.

Nicolas worked on estimation and modeling of the pressure loss in biofilters by statitics studies on measures from the Quebec City’s East wastewater treatment plant. He worked on measures of turbidity and pressure loss. His also had to find the relation between the mass caught by the biofilter or the TSS input and the pressure loss.
