She has a bachelor degree in industrial engineering. She did a master and PhD in environmental engineering at the University of Navarra (Spain).

Her research activity in modelEAU was connected to the DOUT project. The overall objective of DOUT was to analyse how uncertainty is being tackled in wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) management, and how uncertainty concepts can be incorporated into the design and operations of WWTPs. On that wide objective, a net of six interconnected projects has been created. One of them, the NSERC project, had for example the objective of developing a new uncertainty-based methodology for the design of WWTPs.
