Maxine holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) in Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (2011) from Université Laval, with a 1-year stay at York University, Toronto, and a Bachelor's degree in International Studies and Modern Languages from Université Laval (2008).

She is the operations coordinator of CentrEau, a Water Research Centre, since its founding in 2015. She coordinates the activities of the research center and offers support to its members.
