Ali Reza completed his undergraduate studies at Yazd University (Iran). He received a Master’s degree at Sharif University of Technology focused on the reduction of membrane fouling in MBRs. He joined modelEAU as a Ph.D. student under the supervision of Prof. Yves Comeau and Peter Vanrolleghem in May 2021.

The objectives of his Ph.D. project are to develop a mechanistic model of sludge accumulation and learn more about the characteristics, accumulation rate and management of sludge in aerated lagoons. He works on Le Gardeur aerated lagoon in the city of Repentigny, Quebec.
