Jean-Matthieu holds a technical diploma in waterworks. He graduated from Université de Pau in assessment, management and treatment of pollution. His master project was the study of the interactions between the mining waste and the deicing salt. He is currently doing a MSc at Université Laval with Peter Vanrolleghem as co-supervisor.

Jean-Matthieu is working on the implementation of a sanitation system in emergency situation. The project is to establish a standardized procedure for the existing treatments and to evaluate the available options. The treatment will be done chemically.
