Laura is an Environmental Engineer, holding a Master's degree in Computer Engineering and a PhD in Civil Engineering. She has industry experience as a software developer and has worked in consultancy companies developing software for probabilistic risk assessment and water systems. In the research group, she is working on the COVID project, which aims to construct phenomenological sewer models for Quebec City, Montreal, and Rimouski. These models are adapted and calibrated for wastewater-based epidemiology (WBE) purposes. Preliminary results have shown consistency with daily measured SARS-CoV-2 WBE data collected over four months in 2021.
