Majid Gholami completed his B.Sc. studies in chemical engineering from Semnan University in 2010. After having work experiences as a process engineer in the water and wastewater treatment area, he graduated in 2014 with M.Sc. in chemical engineering (process design) from the University of Tehran. He started his PhD in January, 2018 at INRS co-supervised by Peter Vanrolleghem.

His PhD project focuses on modelling and optimization of electrochemical oxidation processes for wastewater treatment. The goal of his project is to increase the understanding of the electrochemical oxidation of organically polluted wastewaters in electrochemical cells.
