Soufiane got a bachelor degree in civil and environmental engineering in Morocco from Ecole Mohammedia d’Ingénieurs, and a master’s degree in Civil engineering- environmental technologies from Université Laval.

For the modelEAU research group, he is working in the InnovaReg projet's: Preparing a critical review on the diversity of nutrient’s regulations in wastewater, and comparing their impacts using simulations in order to come up with changes to the current US regulatory framework.
