The work Paloma carried out at Université Laval was related with the mathematical modelling of wastewater systems in an advanced WWTP.

The main objectives of this work were:

1) To re-define the structure of the existing mathematical modelbase taking into account the current and future needs of emerging technologies in this field.

2) To start working on the implementation of these mathematical models in the WEST platform using the programming language Modelica and based on the predefined structure.
