Yichen has a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering at Harbin Engineering University (China) in 2011. She graduated as an engineer at the Institut national des sciences appliquées (INSA) of Toulouse (France) in 2013, with a specialization in chemical and environmental engineering.

Her project of PhD study was the removal of micropollutants (pharmaceuticals, nanomaterials, endocrine disruptors) in the wastewater by conventional and advanced treatments (oxidation by ozone or UV/peroxide)
